Herring's First Blog of 2023
2023 is off to a positive start at Herring Sanitation and Septic!
It’s been a challenging time for all of us - increasing prices, tighter budgets and the workforce challenges haven’t let up.
Herring has been in business since 1973 and this is not the first time we have seen difficulties, and probably won’t be the last. We have learned what we need to do to stay profitable and competitive in tough markets and we know this year will prove a successful one for us as well. It's better - since it’s our 50th year in business!
We have a little good news to share, to kick off 2023 on a positive note.
A company that has a long history with Herring Sanitation has relocated to
Rockland County and when they moved they asked us if we would expand our service area to Rockland County so they could keep working with us.
Herring is always happy to have repeat business because that means we have happy customers. And we were honored to receive this request. Amy Herring, the head of our portable toilet division and our CFO, crunched the numbers and after she did all the tabulating and yelling and warning, she said YES!
We are beginning to expand our portable toilet service into Rockland county in 2023 and will be tweaking
the Portable Toilet service area as we review our service routes during the first quarter of the year.
