Spring Has Sprung, And So Have Some Septic Pipes

With the changing of the seasons comes the possibility of ground shifting problems, especially for homes with septic systems.

Spring has sprung, and so too have some homeowners’ pipes. With the warmer weather, many homeowners are eager to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. However, with the changing of the seasons comes the possibility of ground shifting problems, especially for homes with septic systems.

When the ground shifts, even slightly, it can disrupt this balance and cause problems such as backups, leaks, and even complete system failure. Also, pipes can become disconnected and cause blockages or leakage.

That's why it's crucial for homeowners to have their septic systems inspected regularly, especially before purchasing a new home or property. A thorough inspection can identify any existing issues and prevent costly repairs down the road.

Here’s an example of a job we did recently where this happened. These photos show the repair made to an outlet pipe that had been leaking but was undetected until the buyer performed a Septic Inspection.

The camera inserted in the system discovered the problem.  Herring was hired to make the repair and the property owner begged Jason and Ashlyn Herring to make as little impact as possible to his beautiful yard.  Alex Ashburn , one of the Herring’s grandsons, did an exceptional job keeping the yard neat.

When hiring a septic inspection professional, it's essential to choose a company with experience, expertise, and a reputation for excellent service. At Herring Sanitation, we've been providing top-quality septic inspections and services to homeowners throughout the Hudson Valley for 50 years.
